Main Industries: The two major industries of Arusha are agriculture and tourism. Arusha's agricultural production is mostly defined by vegetables, flowers and coffee. The most famous factories are a brewery, fiberboard and tyre plant, and a large pharmaceuticals producer. Mining is also very popular in Arusha.

Arusha sits on a high plateau the city is located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley Park, which is Kilimanjaro's volcanic partner. It is surrounded by National Parks, including Mt. Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Olduval Gorge.
It is a rich mosaic of cultures including the famous Masai Peoples.
The "Mountains - Waterways" connections are Mt. Meru which is at the north end of the main street of Arusha, and Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
The temperature typically ranges between 10 and 30 °C (50 and 86 °F) with an average annual high temperature around 25 °C or 77 °F.
Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru in the Arusha National Park.
In 1991 Dr. Eugene Eaves, Head of NCCU's International Studies Department was an integral person to start the Arusha Committee. NCCU librarian joined the delegation for the Arusha MOU signing ceremony with Mayor Chester Jenkins in Arusha, Tanzania.
